Plant-based diet has become a trend all over the world. Driven by the ESG concept, many developed cities are planning to extend the diversity of diet options and plant-based friendly concept with tourism. Earlier as the host of Tokyo Olympics, Tokyo City Government has been encouraging related tourism service businesses to adopt the concept that restaurants and hotels could create plant-based friendly menus. As in HongKong, the society, ESG groups, and also celebrities are actively spreading the idea to shops, restaurants, and businesses in the city, inviting more people to have a Green Monday weekly. Taiwan is recognized as a veg-friendly paradise globally. With the best and various resources, Taiwan could be a pioneer in the field of plant-based and eco-friendly environment. The Taoyuan City Government has invited experts from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan to join this forum and share their valuable experience. Maybe there will be new sparks we can stir up for the next.
