Grand Tofu Making 13:30-14:10
At the event, tofu artisans demonstrate traditional techniques to craft silky, white tofu on-site. Every step of the process reflects deep respect for soybeans and the meticulous focus of the craftsmen. Witnessing the transformation of soy into tender tofu up close allows visitors to experience the quiet dedication and warmth embedded in everyday practices.
Black & White Tofu Delight 14:10-16:00
The tofu artisans on-site use traditional methods to craft tender white tofu, with each step reflecting their respect for soybeans and dedication to their craft. The festival officially opens with a grand sharing ceremony featuring a giant white tofu and a black okara cake. This ritual continues Daxi’s traditional practice of “Eating Tofu to Invite Good Fortune”: in the past, crafting oversized tofu symbolized prayers for prosperity, and sharing it ensured safety and well-being. Today, this tradition lives on in the Daxi Beancurd Festival, where everyone gathers to celebrate blessings and pray for health and happiness.

The pure tones of the handpan resonate like plants nurtured by the earth, carrying a natural delicacy and purity. At the Daxi Beancurd Festival, while savoring the delicious flavors of soy-based treats, the handpan’s vibrations add a gentle layer of sensory enjoyment. We invite you to explore the handpan, experiencing its unique sense of space and crystal-clear timbre. No musical background is required—simply tapping the instrument brings melodies to life, allowing everyone to feel the joy and healing power of sound.

The hands-on workshop is available via on-site registration, with a maximum of 10 participants per session. Please register at the service desk one hour before the activity begins. 邀請千位民眾共襄盛舉，一起參與前所未有的「千人豆漿 Bar」！
用一杯香醇的在地豆漿，開啟豆干小鎮的風味盛會。
On Sunday, Nov. 23, starting at 2:00 PM, the stage area will open the “Soy Milk Bar for a Thousand” for unlimited soy milk tasting. Visitors are invited to savor the freshly prepared, rich, and smooth soy milk crafted by artisans from the Tofu Chamber of Commerce Taoyuan. This is the most authentic Daxi flavor－freshly made, pure in taste, and infused with craftsmanship. The event offers a limited 1,000 servings of soy milk, available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Let’s raise our cups together and toast with a sip of creamy soy milk to “Planting Taoyuan’s Future”!
